CEF researcher Fabio Marcolin releases a detailed checklist of bird records at Tapada da Ajuda, available on the ebird.org platform
Fabio Marcolin, a PhD student in the ForProtect group at the Forest Research Centre (CEF), has compiled a list of birds observed since 1989 at Tapada da Ajuda, School of Agriculture (ISA). More than 100 species of birds have been observed at Tapada da Ajuda and recorded on the ebird.org platform over the last 35 years.
The checklist now published by researcher Fabio Marcolin and displayed at the ISA, in the hall of the Prof. Azevedo Gomes building – see the checklist displayed here -, provides detailed information on each species observed, including the Latin name, common name in Portuguese and English, count, dates of observation, first observers and an indication of whether it is an alien species or not.
The bird checklist of Tapada da Ajuda (ISA) can be consulted online here.

ebird.org is an online citizen science platform dedicated to recording bird observations around the world. Created by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, ebird.org allows birdwatchers, both amateur and professional, to record their observations, contributing to a global database on the distribution and abundance of birds.
