Today began the formation of the Centro de Frutologia Compal. The first session in the room, was devoted to "General Fruit Crops" and took place at the ISA. It was taught by Professor Cristina Oliveira. Essential themes were further developed as eco-physiology and regulation of growth, development and production; flowering and fruit growth; the fitotecnia fruit plants (irrigation, fertilization and pest and diseases); nurseries, propagation and rootstocks; the installation or renovation of orchards; the characteristics of pome and stone fruits and systems for harvesting and post-harvest techniques.

It was certainly a very enlightening morning for 12 trainees, who thus began a new phase in your journey through Frutologia.
