CIHEAM • IAMM - International Center for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Montpellier
lnternational institute for higher education, research and cooperation in a Euro-Mediterranean context.

For over 50 years, the CIHEAM-IAMM has contributed to the production of skills and knowledge for executives in the public and private sector, in the fields of agriculture, food and sustainable rural development in the Mediterranean area. The institute implements its missions of higher education, research and cooperation in partnership with the numerous members of its Euro-Mediterranean network. 

Since its creation in 1962, the CIHEAM-IAMM has trained and supervised more than 5000 students. Currently, most of them have high strategic positions in their country and in various international organizations. The lnstitute gathers an international corpus of renowned, permanent or temporary, teachers and scientists. 

Within a rapidly changing Mediterranean context, the offer of Master programmes at the CIHEAM-IAMM has been developed in conformity with the Bologna process and the ISO 9001 quality standards. The lnstitute is accredited by the French Ministries of Higher Education and Agriculture to deliver the French Diploma of Master. Some of the Masters are organized jointly with the universities of Montpellier and Montpellier SupAgro. Others are delivered by the CIHEAM-IAMM on its own.

The lnstitute renewed its scholarship system to enable more students from CIHEAM countries to benefit from the support of accomodation and training costs. Students coming from other countries may also be admitted: the school fees and the living expenses have to be covered by externa! scholarships or borne by the students themselves. 

As usual, an intensive training session in French language is organized during the summer (from mid-July) to improve the non-French-speaking students' level with also the possibility for the students coming from CIHEAM member countries to benefit from a scholarship during the training period.
