Helsinki Summer School 2017

New Applications

We would like to bring to your attention that Helsinki Summer School will take place again from August 8 to August 24, 2017. The application period has begun and will last until the end of July. However, we advise students to apply as soon as possible as students are accepted on a first come, first served basis and we only accept a limited number of students to each course.

Helsinki Summer School is perfect for students who have completed at least 2 years of university-level studies and wish to

  • earn credits during the summer
  • learn more about an interesting topic
  • freshen up their professional skills
  • carry out a short study period abroad
  • try out studying at the University of Helsinki

Helsinki Summer School is also an excellent opportunity for students coming to Helsinki for a student exchange period as they will be able to participate in the courses prior to the actual beginning of the autumn term. Exchange students who are accepted for autumn term 2017 will receive a significant discount from the Helsinki Summer School course fee (the fee is only 15€/ECTS for exchange students). Early bird fees are valid until February 28, 2017.

The Helsinki Summer School application and student exchange applications are separate, i.e. exchange students need to apply to the Summer School directly, if interested.

Please note that the University of Helsinki does not count Summer School participation in its exchange balances or have a quota for Summer School nominations unless already agreed otherwise. Individual students are warmly welcome to apply to Helsinki Summer School.

We would be extremely grateful if you could forward the information about Helsinki Summer School to your students and the relevant departments at your University.
