Ph.D. candidate by the SUSFOR Doctoral programme - Sustainable Forests and Products, exploring the impact of herbivory on seed fate and early oak performance in declining Iberian agroforestry systems, supervised by Dr. Pedro G. Vaz.

I have completed Bachelor and Master degrees in Forestry and Environmental Sciences at the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, sylhet, Bangladesh. Following the completion of my Bachelor and Master degrees, I studied Biodiversity conservation, Environmental science, and Remote sensing & GIS. I won an Erasmus Mundus Master Scholarship in Mediterranean Forestry and Natural Resource Management (MEDFOR). The first year of the Master's Degree was completed in Padova, Italy, and the second year in Valladolid, Spain. Under the topic Forest Pathology, I investigated the susceptibility of broadleaves, conifers, and agricultural crops in southern Spain to the Pine pitch canker disease.

Research Interests: Alternative Land Use Practices, Forest Ecology, Forest Health and Protection, Silviculture, Nature Conservation, Plant-Animal Interactions, Agroforestry systems.
