On December 4, 2017, about 20 forestry specialists from CEABN InBIO and from the Forest Research Centre (CEF) of the School of Agronomy (ISA) traveled to Oliveira do Hospital to visit areas of the municipality affected by the wilfire of October 15, 2017. The visit was accompanied by the Municipal Operational Coordinator, José Carlos Marques. The severity of this wildfire,the significant extent of the burning area and the high damage caused make this event an important case study.
