Our collaborator and former President of the Portuguese Society of Forest Sciences (2010-2014), Maria do Loreto Monteiro, received the award "Personality of the Year 2015" by the Buçaco Forest Foundation. This award is the recognition for her remarkable work and for her extraordinary career in favor of the portuguese forest and nature conservation, as well as, for her outstanding commitment to the development of the Forest Management Plan for the National Forest of Buçaco. The award ceremony took place on November 20th of 2015, at the Grande Hotel de Luso, during the public session "Our Forest Wealth for Explore" under the "Sement Event 2015" of the BRIGHT Project, that is held annually by the Buçaco Forest Foundation with the support of LIFE+/Biodiversity of the European Commission.
