She was in CEABN InBio under the Tranzfor program ("Transferring Research between EU & Australia-New Zealand on Forestry and Climate Change"). CEABN InBio welcomes this type of knowledge exchange aiming at strengthening partnerships through staff exchanges and international networking activities.

Lisa leads Scion’s social fire research, focusing on community resilience and recovery following wildfires, effective communication, fire danger warning communication, fire insurance, and mitigating the risk of human-caused fires.

She has been collaborating with Conceição Colaço, on an effective communication on wildfires and community project, following three case studies in New Zealand and Portugal.

They have made joint presentations to the International Scientific Workshop on Vulnerability and Risk Management in Planted Forests prior to the "3rd International Congress on Planted Forests", National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA), Bordeaux, France; "7th World Environmental Education Congress", Morocco; and "7º Congresso Florestal Nacional, Florestas - Conhecimento e Inovação", Portugal.
