FIELD VISIT – OAK WOODLAND | 24 JUNE 2021

During the afternoon of 24 June 2021, after the project meeting, the team of the project “SCAPEFIRE – a sustainable landscape planning model for rural fires prevention” (PCIF/MOS/0046/2017) made a field visit organized by Professor João Carvalho (UTAD) to the oak woodland ecosystem. Several issues were addressed, examples of which are the identification of goods and services produced by the native oak forest, forestry close to nature and applications with oak wood. The Carvalhal de Maior and the Carvalhal de Garcia Joanes were visited.

4th GENERAL PROJECT MEETING | 24 JUNE 2021

On 24 June 2021 the project team of “SCAPEFIRE – a sustainable model of land management for the prevention of rural fires” (PCIF/MOS/0046/2017) was gathered in its 4th general meeting. The meeting started at the Cultural Centre of Videmonte (Guarda) with the presentation of the progress of the project and discussion of future work.

2nd PARTICIPATORY WORKSHOP – PAMPILHOSA DA SERRA | 23 JUNE 2021

On 23 June 2021 the 2nd workshop was held in Pampilhosa da Serra to discuss the proposed land use plan. The team would like to thank all participants for their collaboration and sharing of ideas.
