3RD GENERAL MEETING | 16 NOVEMBER 2020

On 16 November 2020 the SCAPEFIRE project team – A sustainable landscape planning model for rural fires prevention” (PCIF/MOS/0046/2017) was meeting at its 3rd general meeting.

Progress of the work, to be highlighted:

– National map of landscape typologies based on factors with potential relationship with fires. A subsequent comparative analysis with the burned area will allow us to understand which groups have the greatest vulnerability;

– Proposal for a model of spatial planning (result of the application to several municipalities in the Central region);

– Results of participatory work in Pampilhosa da Serra;

– Proposals for the village of Vale Serrão;

– Modeling of vegetation series for the Central region;

– Study of Aptitude to Chestnut, fruit and wood production;

– Simplified COS derived from satellite images.
