WORKSHOP IN PRAGUE | FEBRUARY 2020

In February 2020, the IAHC convened a two-day invitational workshop in Prague in conjunction with the EFC/FAO Working Party on the Management of Mountain Watersheds Working Group 1 (Forest and Water) “30 years of Headwater Control: Forest and Water in Changing Environment and Society”. Despite being organised in the shadow of the Covid-19 virus epidemic, this attracted 23 spoken contributions and 29 participants from 16 countries. The PI of the SCAPEFIRE project was invited to present the developed work about Headwaters Systems, which are a structural element of the Land Use Model developed in the SCAPEFIRE project.

1ST WORKSHOP | 15 FEBRUARY 2020

On February 14, 2020, the 1st Workshop of Scientific Research and Technological Development Projects in the Field of Forest Fire Prevention and Combat was held, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) in the context of the competitions for IC&DT projects held in 2017 and was attended by 17 research projects in Coimbra. This event was organised by the researchers of the FIREFRON, FIRESTORM and McFIRE.

The SCAPEFIRE team was present in the dissemination of the main results.
