I have a bachelor in Biology from the School of Agronomy and a master’s degree in Computational Biology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. In my master thesis, I assessed mortality causes and rates of the Little Bustard (Tetrax tetrax) in the Iberian Peninsula. After my graduation, I worked as a statistical consultant and as a researcher in ISCTE Business School on a project on public engagement at research institutes.

I’m currently doing my PhD, which focuses on forecasting the impacts of climate and land­use changes on Mediterranean farmland birds. My species of interest are the Lesser Kestrel (Falco naumanni), the European Roller (Coracias garrulus), the White-Stork (Ciconia ciconia), and the Little Bustard (Tetrax tetrax).

I am also interested in management and processing of biological data, programming, and geographic information systems.
