The first international conference on Riparian Ecosystems Science and Management was organised from 6th to 7th April 2022 in Bratislava (Slovakia). The conference had 85 participants and was organized by Slovak Academy of Sciences (Slovenská akadémia vied), the University of Rennes 2 and the Instituto Superior de Agronomia/University of Lisbon, represented by the principal investigator of the ALNUS Project, Patricia María Rodríguez-González. This participation took place under the COST CONVERGES Action (Converges – COST 16208) where the researcher is Vice-Chair.
The ALNUS team also contributed with two oral presentations to share some of the latest results: “Bayesian Networks and expert knowledge in riparian ecosystem management” presented by Cristina Vieites-Blanco, and “Ecotypic variation research to achieve functional targets in the conservation management of riparian forests” by Inês Marques.
