The 3rd Meeting of the ENHANCE project was held in Reykjavik, Iceland, from June 8th to June 10th.
Our researchers Francisco Castro Rego e Maria da Conceição Colaço attended the meeting to discuss the next steps of the project.
In this meeting the participants presented the progress made in each of the case study of the project - Air industry response to volcanic eruptions (Iceland); Building railway transport resilience to alpine hazards (Austria/Germany); Climate variability & technological risk in the Po basin (Italy); Drought management in Jucar river basin district (Spain); Flood risk and climate change implications for MSPs (United Kindgom); Flood risk management for Rotterdam Port infrastructure (Netherlands); Health preparedness and heat wave response plans (Europe); Insurance & forest fire resilience (Portugal); North Sea / Wadden Sea storm surges – risk culture, perception and management (Netherlands/Germany) and Stress test: Testing the Solidarity Fund for Romania and Eastern Europe - with focus on experience with risk assessment.
Besides the work made in each case study, the participants also discussed the proposed contents to elaborate guidelines for the assessment of the risk reducing effect of the MSP.
