The final of the Ecotrophelia 2020 Contest took place on September 3, 2020, at Casa do Vinho Verde, promoted by PortugalFoods.
Once again the students of Instituto Superior de Agronomia, ULisboa were present, with a presentation that greatly dignifies us! Thus, at the end of the contest, we had the Fermentative project, developed within the Integrated Quality Management classes of the Master in Food Engineering, by our students Leonor Botelho, Carolina Vala and Fábio Abreu (special collaboration of the Master in Gastronomic Sciences). The work was mentored by Professors Anabela Raymundo and Catarina Prista.
The Fermentative project aims to develop a new canning from green tomatoes and for its scientific approach was distinguished by the National Innovation Agency (ANI) with the Born from Knowledge (BfK) award. This award values scientific and technological knowledge, aiming to encourage the creation of products, processes or services "born from knowledge". Our team was also recognized with the 3rd place in the contest, having been awarded twice in this edition!
ISA is very proud to see its students awarded, knowing that all the research, innovation and development in the Agro-food sector in which we collaborate in partnership with several companies, is worthy of the recognition attributed to our students' projects. We hope to compete with many other works next year!
