My studies focus on the analysis of agricultural systems, seeking to enhance the ecological, social and economic sustainability of production systems. I am currently studying the sustainability of the Montado through emergetic analysis, a tool whose main focus is to estimate the total consumption of necessary resources, thus providing an alternative decision-making framework to the economic one. My background is also related to the treatment of ecological analysis tools, such as the nitrogen footprint from meadow to plate.3.
