Has a degree in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon and a master’s degree in Human and Environmental Biology from the same institution, with a thesis on integrated pest protection. Currently running a PhD in forestry engineering on the ecology of forest mixtures, particularly the mixture of cork oak and stone pine, with the support of the CorkNut project.
