The Forest Research Centre (CEF) of Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA) is opening a tender for the attribution of two scholarships for master students within the scope of the project AQUADAPT: Climate change-proof riverine ecosystems for sustainable management (Promove, refª PD20-00008).
The work plan of the first scholarship aims to study the diversity of fishes in transboundary watersheds, and includes mapping fish diversity, and linking fish data with human pressures and climatic risks. The work plan of the second scholarship aims to study the role of thermic refuges in riparian ecosystems in mediterranean climates, and includes managing in-situ aquatic thermal sensors, and linking thermic data with the exposure to a gradient of riverine and landscape features.
The project is taking place under the ForProtect Research Group, is financed by the ‘La Caixa’ Foundation and Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) and will be developed at the Forest Research Centre (CEF), under the supervision of Doctor Ana Filipa Filipe
The call is open from the 25th of May to the 7th of June. See the full information at:
