Guided walk along the Ribeira dos Rouxinóis river trail – World Fish Migration Day 2024

To celebrate World Fish Migration Day 2024, the Centre for Forestry Studies (Centro de Estudos Florestais – CEF), through the ForProtect group, is helping to organise a guided walk along the Ribeira dos Rouxinóis river trail on 25 May 2024.

On the occasion of the 6th edition of World Fish Migration Day, Associação Portuguesa dos Recursos Hídricos (APRH), Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA) of the University of Lisbon and Escola Superior Agrária de Santarém, with the support of Altri Florestal, are organising a walk along a river trail located on the Rouxinóis stream, highlighting the importance of maintaining healthy rivers and river connectivity, let’s go for a guided river trail along the Ribeira dos Rouxinóis.

This trail is part of the Quinta do Furadouro Biodiversity Station (EBIO), and is integrated into a property managed by Altri Florestal, constituting a 2km circular route with 7 information panels on local biodiversity with emphasis on fish, amphibians, insects and riverine vegetation.
