The Forest Research Centre (CEF) will host the IUFRO conference in collaboration with Abreu Events between the 6th and 9th of September at the PT Meeting Center at Parque das Nações in Lisbon.
The meeting is open to all researchers working on all aspects related to tree health, forest health, forest pathology and forest entomology.
Researchers are invited to present and discuss their latest research and technological advances that may contribute to find effective and sustainable solutions to deal with forest health challenges of a changing environment.
The conference will provide an opportunity for exchanging information and ideas, as well as strengthening common research and collaboration and stimulating new interactions among the participants.
This event will have plenary sessions and presentations, bringing a program with various topics such as Forest Pathology and Entomology, Tree health in urban forests, the challenges and opportunities of biological control of forest pests, forest health in the southern hemisphere, in commercial plantations, among many others.
The program also includes a one-day field trip, a social dinner and an optional post-congress visit. English will be the official language of the meeting.
Among the keynote speakers who will participate in the event are Mike Wingfield, University of Pretoria, Rosa Paiva, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Ana Perez-Sierra, Forest Research, United Kingdom, and Peter Biedermann, University of Freiburg.
Manuela Branco and José Carlos Franco, representatives of CEF, are part of the Organizing Committee.
