The 2025 Annual General Assembly of the IEFC, co-organized by IEFC, USSE, HAZI, NEIKER, Cesefor, and Gipuzkoa, took place on April 8 and 9 in the city of San Sebastián (Donostia), in the Basque Country. The event was held in the prestigious GUNEA Hall of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, which provided an excellent setting for the 60 participants. The day was filled with meaningful exchanges and impactful presentations, with 22 distinguished speakers from various countries sharing their knowledge and ideas.
On April 8th, CEF was represented by several of its members at the IEFC General Assembly held in San Sebastian, Spain. Manuela Branco, CEF’s current coordinator, was invited to present the results of her work “The Impact of Urban Trees on the Invasion of Forest Pests” at the opening seminar on forest health. Meanwhile, ForChange saw two of its tools presented by Margarida Tomé and Nuno Leitão: the ARF@Pt platform and the management driven forest simulator StandsSIM.md, respectively, in the webinar “Let’s Talk About Planted Forests”. The GA closed with the Moral Rapport presented by Susana Barreiro president of the IEFC. The GA was organized back to back with the annual meeting of the Reinfforce2 project and also included the contribution of António Correia from ForChange .
