Our CEABN Sinergias is coming up on October 26th, Tuesday, at 11:30 a.m. Ana Teresa Marques will present the work she defended in her Ph.D. Dissertation. This is an open forum where everyone is invited.
Infrastructures have major impacts on animals and habitats. Dr. Marques' research shows that roads, power lines, and wind turbines in the Iberian Peninsula affect bird distributions (e.g., little bustard), use of space (black kite, little bustard), and population declines (little bustard). Extensive data on census, mortality events, and GPS tracking supported the results. Infrastructure management guidelines and conservation measures for vulnerable species are proposed.
This time Sinergias will be held in person at CEABN's small conference space and also via Zoom live for those who cannot attend in person. Save the date!
